Transmission Guide Tubes

Feel a clunking in your clutch pedal? This could be a worn transmission guide tube. These components bolt to the transmission and act as a guide for the release bearing to actuate against the clutch diaphragm. Over time, the guide tube can wear to a point where a changed clutch (which has a different finger height and therefore different location for the bearing to slide along) can feel like it has an uneven feel in the pedal. It is important to check these items and replace if necessary to optimise the performance of the clutch and pedal feel.
